In its ongoing support of The Elk Valley Community the Elk Valley Cruisers have created an annual Bursary Award.
This award has been created to reward Grade 12 students who have family members of the Club and wish to follow a career in the trade industries. The award will assist the students with their further education and training.
In its inaugral year the Bursary award was presented to Jake Johnson a 2026 Graduate of the Fernie Secondary School and son of Club Member Mike Johnson. Club members Oscar Neilson and Sanjeev Parmar were at the Graduation Award Day to present to Jake Johnson who is pursuing a career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. Jake is currently working at Lubers in Fernie.
